SUMMARY:Dark Sky Astronomy at L'Auberge de Sedona
DESCRIPTION:Why is Sedona such an astonishing place to explore the mysteries of the heavens? Dennis Young, who has been introducing Sedona visitors to its starry wonders for nearly two decades and founded Sedona’s local astronomy club Sirius Lookers, says a few things make Sedona stargazing some of the best in the world: Sedona’s dark skies, which are free of most of the light pollution that blocks stargazing in large cities, Sedona’s elevation, which decreases the air space between viewers and space, Sedona’s haze-free, cloud- free sky, which makes stargazing possible most nights of the year, and The transparency of the desert air which, free of humidity, increases visibility. Join astronomer Dennis Young weekly at L'Auberge de Sedona as he leads you on a tour of Sedona's world famous night skies.  Attendance is limited to L'Auberge guests and offered free of charge. Times may vary (check with concierge) and sessions are subject to weather conditions.
