Welcome to our very first blog post (first of many)!

We are very excited to continue our conversations with our guests, we encourage you to tell us what you want to hear or discuss. As always you can find us on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube and others!

As the weather has turned to crisp fall mornings and chilly evenings with beautiful afternoons, our interests are focused to sitting by the fire and exploring our history.

What was L’Auberge, before it was L’Auberge?

To gain perspective we’ve uncovered some photos from past guests of our sister property above us, the Orchards Inn. You can see the land that is now sprinkled with cottages was once vast and open. The amazing smells from the kitchen leading guests to the creek and along the ivy covered paths have not yet been created.

As we move a little forward in time, we found an article about L’Auberge as it first opened from March 10, 1985! It’s great to see how so much has changed but so much has remained the same.

If anyone knows who Aunt Millie is, we’d love to reconnect with her and see what she thinks of L’Auberge now!
