SEDONA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL – February 21-March 1 – Join the 21st Annual Sedona International Film Festival — a nine-day celebration of the best independent films from around the world. Films in all genres are featured: narrative features, documentaries, foreign films, short films and animated films. Plus: Celebrity guests, red carpet galas and more!


SEDONA MOUNTAIN BIKE FESTIVAL – March 6-8 – The Sedona MTB Festival is 3-day mountain bike celebration that will include a Main Expo/Festival area at the beautiful Tlaquepaque Village, Bike Demos, Shuttled Rides, a Beer Garden, great Bands for (2) nights and a whole lotta sweet RED SINGLETRACK! Contact Sedona MTB Festival Director, Mike Raney

45th ANNUAL SEDONA ST. PATRICK’S PARADE & FESTIVAL – March 14 – on Saturday, March 14 along Jordan Road in Uptown Sedona. Free event presented by Sedona Main Street Program, NAU Parks and Recreation Program, Sedona Green Team. Parade starts at 10:30 a.m.; Free Festival follows until 3:00 p.m.


CELEBRATION OF SPRING – April 4 – This is much more than just an egg hunt, this is a Celebration of Spring! Join us April 4 from 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. for this fun, action packed event for families and all those in the community that enjoy spring and the beautiful outdoors. Inflatable toys for kids, petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, carnival rides, duck races and much more are included with the admission fee for the youth attendees. $5 for children 12 and younger.

ESTHER! FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS – April 17-19 – Annual FREE Spring Community Event will be a family-friendly, visually stunning, original musical, at 4:00 p.m., held outdoors at Tequa Marketplace, 7000 SR 179, Sedona 86351. SEDONA OPEN STUDIOS TOUR – April 24-26 – The 12th Annual Open Studios Tour takes place April 24-26 from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. each day. SEDONA PHOTOFEST – May 2-3 – Sedona PhotoFest is a series of educational and inspiring presentations on photographic technique, use of digital software and personal artistic perspectives from some of the top photographers in the country. The event takes place over two days, May 2-3 at the Sedona Performing Arts Center, persented by Sedona Arts Center. 928-282-3809

CINCO DE MAYO CELEBRATION AT TLAQUEPAQUE – May 5 – Immerse yourself in a colorful Fiesta saluting a rich heritage on Saturday, May 2 at Tlaquepaque. Enjoy the festivities while cheering and whistling to the music of mariachi musicians, clapping to the steps of Folklorico dancers and savoring traditional Mexican food.

ILLUMINATE FILM FESTIVAL – May 27–31 – The world’s premier film festival for conscious cinema. Dedicated to spreading enlightened ideas and pushing humanity forward, ILLUMINATE is a landmark destination event and centerpiece for conscious cinema. 5K SUMMER SERIES – May 28 – $10 per event or $25 for all three. Be a part of the third season of the 5K Summer Series! Hosted by Sedona Parks and Recreation and the Sedona Running Company. These quick paced runs through the park are sure to be popular amongst those of you in the running community. Sedona is a beautiful location to be out doors, and this series will take you up and down dirt and paved trails through scenic Posse Grounds Park.


COMMUNITY CAMPOUT – June 5-6 – Camp at Sunset Park! This event will be held on June 5-6 beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday evening and ending at 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning. For only $15 per tent (if you provide your own) or $35 per tent (if we provide your tent), participants can join others for a night of camping under the stars, hot dog roasting and s’mores, telescope star viewing, and a group yoga class in the morning.

4th OF JULY COMMUNITY CELEBRATION – July 4 – Spend your 4th of July having a picnic on the cool grass, surrounded by the spectacular red rocks and listening to an upbeat live concert. Food vendors will be announced closer to the event time. Parking will be available at the high school as well as across the street on Cultural Park Place. Signage and Police Officers will be directing traffic. A DOG’S DAY OUT IN THE PARK – July 18 – The City of Sedona Parks and Recreation Department cordially invites all animal lovers and dog owners to support our pet-friendly event, A Dog’s Day Out in the Park. This event is being held Saturday, July 18 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on the multi-use field at Posse Grounds Park. This event is free for those interested in playing with their dogs on the beautiful grass field.

SEDONA’S 11th ANNUAL NATIONAL DAY OF THE COWBOY CELEBRATION – July 25 – in Uptown Sedona on Saturday, July 25 from 11:00 a.m – 8:00 p.m. Enjoy “cowboy going’s on”: gunfights, roping, action shooting, re-enactments, musical revue, storytelling, poetry, costume contest. Free event presented by Sedona Main Street Program, Red Rock Posse and area businesses.

42nd ANNUAL FIESTA DE TLAQUEPAQUE – September 12 – We are pleased to announce our 42nd annual “Fiesta del Tlaquepaque,” a celebration of Mexican Independence Day; Saturday, September 12.Comtinuing a long tradition of fabulous food, music, dance and entertainment for young and old, this year’s Fiesta promises to be extraordinary. Arts and crafts exhibits will abound offering a glimpse into the traditional and present artistry of Mexico.

SEDONA WINEFEST – September 26-27 – This year the Winefest takes place on Saturday and Sunday September 26 & 27 from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Sedona Airport. We invite you to enjoy scrumptious Sedona cuisine, live musicvendors galore, and an exclusive Premium Wine Area, while enjoying the breathtaking panoramic views of the majestic red rocks. 928-301-0398


RED ROCKS OKTOBERFEST – October 4 – The Rotary Club of Sedona Red Rocks presents the Red Rocks Oktoberfest on October 4 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Los Abrigados Resort & Spa. 11 breweries, wine, food, music and FUN!

SEDONA ARTS FESTIVAL – October 10-11 – Held on the campus of Sedona Red Rock High School, 995 Upper Red Rock Loop Road. A favorite in the Southwest, the festival showcases 126 juried artists, the Gourmet Gallery, an international guest artist, and KidZone, as well as great music, food, and raffle prizes. Admission supports arts education in our community.

SEDONA MAIN STREET PAINT OUT – October 17 – Saturday from 1:30 – 4:00 p.m. See thirty nationally recognized Plein Air Artists along sidewalks and plazas in Uptown, each completing a painting in 2.5 hours. Free event sponsored by Sedona Main Street Program and presented with Sedona Arts Center.

PUMPKIN SPLASH – October 17 – Bring your bathing suit and join your friends at the best pumpkin patch in Sedona. On October 17 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Sedona Community Pool will be home to pumpkins ready for the picking. Out of the water that is! This unique event is fun for all ages. Pumpkin Splash is limited to the first 300 people. Everyone entering the pool facility, adults and children alike, must pay a $4 entry fee. This entry fee includes a pumpkin to take home.

SEDONA PLEIN AIR FESTIVAL – October 17-24 – Contemporary plein-air artists paint from life in the out-of-doors capturing moments in time that reflect the ever-changing colors, light and shadows, temperature and shifting elements. Paint-Outs, Exhibition, Gallery, Sale, Events. 928-282-3809

JOIN THE MURAL MARIGOLD PROJECT FOR DIA DE LOS MUERTOS – October 20-24 – Join us in our third year as we create another incredible public mural in the Calle Independencia where visitors and community members can honor the loss of loved ones in their lives and connect with one another though art and public expression. All week the public is invited to paint on the mural.

DIA DE LOST MUERTOS CELEBRATION AT TLAQUEPAQUE – October 24 – Join us in the courtyards of Tlaquepaque on Saturday, October 24, to make an offering at the Celebration of Dia de los Muertos. Music, food and beautiful altars will be on view starting at 2:00 p.m. Watch fire dancers and visit our thematic face painting booth. Costumes are encouraged. Ofrenda or Offering, in the traditional Mexican celebration of Día de los Muertos, is created to remember the dead and to honor ancestors.


FALL ARTS & CRAFTS SHOW – October 24 – Located at the Sedona Heritage Museum. This show is an old-fashioned, small town arts & crafts show with lunch and a bake sale. All items are hand-made. The artist or craftsman can tell you how they make their pieces, where they find their unusual materials or what inspires them. Many vendors only do this show making their items unusual & uncommon. Find a large variety of offerings including fine art, ceramics, woodcarvings, jewelry, home and garden decor, baskets, gourd art, wearable art, greeting cards and gifts galore.

29th ANNUAL SAFE & FUN TRICK OR TREAT – October 31 – Uptown Sedona is held Friday, October 31 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Merchants welcome ghouls and ghosts at storefronts for treats! Free event coordinated by Sedona Main Street Program plus Costume Contest in partnership with City of Sedona.


HOLIDAY CENTRAL SEDONA – December 1-31 – Sedona transforms into a red rock winter wonderland for the entire month of December with events, festivals, and entertainment sure to enchant everyone. Discover the perfect destination for families and friends to celebrate the holiday season, make memories and create new traditions – all in the most beautiful place on Earth.

FESTIVAL OF TREES AT TLAQUEPAQUE – December 3-5 – This premiere holiday event at Tlaquepaque begins on Thursday, December 3. Area artists and galleries will have Art inspired trees. The trees all have different themes and incorporate different materials. Kick off your holiday season with a beautiful themed tree already pre-decorated. The trees will be on display on our 2nd floor Terrace. Proceeds benefit “Toys for Tots” via the Sedona Marine Corps League.

TINSEL TOWN – December 4-28 – Every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, enjoy a walk through the picnic area at the park while it is lit up with lights and decorations all created by Sedona businesses, organizations and community members like you. Light displays will be turned on every Thurs. through Sun. evening in December, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. On given nights additional attractions may be available (caroling, hot coco, etc.) 928-282-7098

TREE LIGHTING & SANTA VISIT – December 4 – Friday, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Canyon Breeze Plaza in Uptown. Enjoy the Tree-lighting, entertainment and Santa visits with children. Free event presented by Sedona Main Street Program, Sedona Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau and City of Sedona.

BREAKFAST WITH SANTA – December 5 – Sedona Parks and Recreation is pleased to bring to you for the seventh year running, our Breakfast with Santa event. After breakfast, children can enjoy making winter crafts, as well as sitting on Santa’s lap. Parents, don’t forget to bring your camera! This event is free, so come for the pancakes (and more), come for the crafts and most of all, come to see Santa Claus! At the Sedona Teen Center located in Posse Grounds Park. PILGRIMAGE TO BETHLEHEM – December 11-13 – 12th Annual Christmas extravaganza is outdoors at Tequa Marketplace, Sedona 86351.  Watch for llamas, goats, chickens, a donkey, and miniature horses.  NEW: The Ancient Bethlehem Tour begins at 3:00 p.m.; the original Christmas Musical is at 5:00 p.m. Don’t miss the Drawing for valuable gifts before, and the complimentary refreshments following. CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK – December 12 – Located at the Sedona Heritage Museum. Enjoy Christmas in the Park, a free annual open house from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. including museum admission, afternoon concert, hot apple cider, cookies, apple sorter demos and make & take cornhusk ornaments. On the National Register of Historic Places, the museum’s buildings will be decorated in vintage holiday decor. Meet the tumbleweed ‘snowman’, Sedona old-timers and descendants of pioneer families. Visit with local authors signing their books and don’t miss the Museum Shop’s annual sale.

THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS – THE LIGHTING OF 6,000 LUMINARIAS – December 12 – Saturday, December 12, from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. This one day event – A cherished tradition which involves the lighting of six thousand luminarias in Tlaquepaque’s courtyards and walkways at 5:00 p.m. Specially designated Luminarias honoring cancer survivors can be purchased in advance for $10.00 by calling (928) 282-4838.
