ACTIVITIES
Jeep Tours
Sedona offers many different types of Jeep tours. Be adventurous and take
a 4-wheel drive into the Red Rock back country or reserve a more relaxing
scenic sunset ride. Horseback Riding
Choose rides ranging from one to eight hours long. Take an adventure along
creeks or canyons and enjoy the nature of Sedona. Also consider a dinner
or sunset ride that includes a cowboy cook-out.
Scenic Air Tours
Ask the Concierge about fantastic sightseeing excursions among the Red
Rocks and to the Grand Canyon in hot air balloon, bi-plane or helicopter.
Charter flights are also available to Phoenix Sky Harbor International
Airport and Las Vegas.
Golf
Sedona has several beautiful golf courses close by the hotel. The Concierge
will be happy to arrange tee times and provide further information.
Serenitē Spa
Serenitē Spa features luxury treatments that can be experienced in one
of the Spa's calming rooms, creekside or in a guestroom. Using an array
of specialized products, the Spa employs a team of the "Elite Eight."
This team of eight estheticians and massage therapists provides guests

SIGHTSEEING
Hiking
Explore self-guided hikes on a variety of trails in the Sedona area. There
are also some wonderful guided tours available. We have maps and directions
for hikers of all ages and energy levels. For your safety, please stay
on marked trails and do not forget your Red Rock Pass, which is available
at the Front Desk.
Fishing
There are native Apache Trout in Oak Creek. It is also stocked regularly
with Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Cut-throat Trout and Small Mouth Bass
from mid-April into December. Guides, lessons and equipment rentals are
available; let our Concierge assist you with the necessary arrangements.
Swimming
You can find popular swimming sites along Oak Creek at Grasshopper Point,
Red Rock Crossing and Slide Rock State Park, a natural water slide.
Indian Ruins
Built by the Sinagua Indians during the 13th century, Montezuma's Castle,
Montezuma's Well and Tuzigoot are a short driving distance from L'Auberge.
The museums contain an impressive collection of artifacts.
Chapel of the Holy Cross
This contemporary shrine was designed by Marguerite Brunswig Staude, an
apprentice of Frank Lloyd Wright, and completed in 1956 among Red Rock
spires. Located on Chapel Road off Highway 179. Open daily from 9:00 a.m.
to 5:00 p.m.
Trolley
Ride a refurbished trolley from another era for shopping, art galleries
and sightseeing.
SHOPPING
Art Galleries
You will find a multitude of acclaimed galleries, many featuring nationally
recognized western and contemporary artists. Ask the Concierge about special
exhibits featured all year long.
Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village
Featuring shops, galleries and restaurants, Tlaquepaque is a Mexican village
setting amidst charming gardens, courtyards and fountains. Open daily
all year, it is a 10-15 minute walk from L'Auberge. Located two blocks
south of Hwy. 89-A/179 intersection.
SEDONA AREA SCENIC DRIVES
Oak Creek Canyon
This scenic drive on U.S. Highway 89-A begins at the north end of Sedona,
and winds for 16 miles through a continuous and ever-changing display
of natural beauty. Arizona holds the first official "scenic"
highway designation.
Red Rock Loop Road
One of Sedona's most photographed areas, this scenic drive leads to the
triple-turreted Cathedral Rock, Crescent Moon Ranch at Red Rock Crossing
and Red Rock State Park. The park is a center for environmental studies
and is home to over 200 bird species.
Dry Creek Road
About five miles of scenic roads leading to Boynton Canyon, Long Canyon,
Loy Canyon and many more scenic adventures. Along the way you will find
numerous places for hikes, photographs and scenic vistas of Native American
sacred grounds.
Airport Road
Enjoy incredible views of Sedona from the top of the mesa, home of the
Sedona Airport, and the Airport Mesa Vortex. An excellent spot to photograph
sunsets and after-storm rainbows.
Schnebly Hill Road
Schnebly Hill Road can be reached via Highway 179 near Tlaquepaque. Turn
left on this unpaved road, which affords breathtaking views looking west
over Oak Creek and Red Rock country and goes all the way to the top of
the Mogollan Rim. This drive can be a little bumpy, but it is well worth
it!
Grand Canyon
For early risers, a South Rim day trip is possible. Allow about six hours
driving time roundtrip. Visit our Concierge for maps and travel information.
Jerome
Jerome, one of Arizona's most famous ghost towns, is a 45-minute drive
from Sedona. A turn-of-the-century mining town, Jerome offers interesting
galleries, antique shops, pubs, restaurants, a state museum and stunning
views of the Verde Valley.
