L’Apothecary Spa Celebrates Spring

Spring has sprung in Sedona and L’Apothecary Nature Spa is embracing the season with flower readings and re-connecting with nature. Our long-standing partnership with Lotus Wei allows us access to their bio-energetic infusion of flowers that work with the body’s acupuncture meridian system to enhance clarity, peace, and happiness. We utilize the serums, mists, and elixirs to personalize our private meditation sessions. Likewise, with the fresh spring air and new blooms awakens us from winter hibernation to a new experience within our Forest Bathing and Star Bathing activities.
Flower Essence Meditation
Experience a meditation that is orchestrated by your intuition. Whether you are enhancing your current practice or are learning new methods of meditation, you will begin by simply choosing a flower card. Your facilitator will create a meditation that focuses on that flower and its properties to deepen your practice. You will begin the meditation with a deep inhalation of flower essence mist and then you will anoint certain acupressure points with the serum. Upon completion of the meditation, you will enjoy a flower essence elixir. Our flower essences are created by Lotus Wei to work with the body’s meridian system to enhance clarity, peace, and happiness.

Spring Awakening
It’s Spring in Sedona! The trees are blooming, the flowers are filling the air with unique aromas, and the temperatures on the trails offer perfect hiking conditions. With the season of rebirth upon us, the practice of Forest Bathing is an ideal way to shake off winter. Forest Bathing is an outdoor activity led by a facilitator who creates invitations to enhance the way you experience nature and the positive effects it has upon you. L’Auberge de Sedona offers this as a complimentary weekly guest activity and as paid private sessions. Forest Bathing begins with an invitation to be mindful of presence. As you begin to let go of distractions you start to notice the opening of your senses, quieting of the mind, and a deeper and more meaningful connection to nature.

Marvel Under the Stars
Sedona is an International Dark Sky city, so there is little light pollution to obstruct the views of our stunning night skies. At L’Auberge de Sedona we created an activity to enhance your connection to the dark sky; Star Bathing. Based on the Japanese concept of “forest bathing” (the practice of mindful activities in nature), star bathing allows you to relax and be fully present. As your vision becomes accustomed to the darkness, a certified facilitator will lead meditations designed to awaken and heighten the senses—from focusing on the smell of fresh water flowing through the creek to savoring the “taste” of the wind—all under a canopy of stars.
We’re thrilled to share coverage of L’Auberge de Sedona both online and in the April issue of Organic Spa Magazine in the piece titled, “Unique New Wellness Getaways.” The astronomical story spotlights the Star Bathing activity offered to guests to connect with natural wonders and heighten senses under the starlit sky.
“The wellness world has got its own version of this, too—albeit with a mindful twist. Building on the Japanese concept of “forest bathing” (the practice of mindful activities in nature), L’Auberge de Sedona has launched Star Bathing, which helps you connect to nature, and yourself, under the starlit sky. As your vision is reduced by the darkness, certified facilitators will lead meditations designed to help you slow down and awaken and heighten the senses—from focusing on the smell of fresh water flowing through the creek to savoring the “taste” of the wind—all under a canopy of stars.”
