L’Auberge Relaxes on National Relaxation Day

National Relaxation Day is Thursday, August 15th and it’s a great reminder to sit back, take a deep breath, and relax. Sedona is a wonderful place to have the day of your choosing. If hiking or mountain biking relaxes you, there are numerous trails. If a day at the spa is your cure for a busy mind, then schedule a Quiet Mind treatment at L’Apothecary Spa where breathing techniques are incorporated to assist in truly quieting the mind. If reading a book while sipping hot tea will relax your body and soul, we invite you to sit under the shade of the sycamores and do just that.
May we suggest a day of relaxing?
Morning
Wake up leisurely on National Relaxation Day, open the curtains and let the sunshine in to naturally awaken your senses. If you are up and moving by 8:00 am, watch the ducks enjoy their breakfast on Duck Beach while listening to the slow rhythm of the creek. Then, if you are inclined, join us for our daily morning yoga stretch before a creekside breakfast.

Afternoon
Following a relaxed morning – or a morning of adventure, find a place creekside. We invite you to just be, just listen to the sound of the creek or watch the ducks float along. Let the sounds of nature drown out the noise in your mind. Skip a rock if you’d like or set an intention for the rest of the day.
Stroll through Tlaquepaque Arts and Shopping Village to experience the cobblestone paths meandering through shops and galleries. Tlaquepaque (pronounced T-la-keh-pah-keh) was designed like a traditional Mexican village and features specialty shops with handmade pieces, unique jewelry, and small cafes.
Hiking in Sedona is quite diverse and allows for all fitness levels to enjoy the red rocks. The Hike House is a unique hiking shop with all the gear and maps you will need, but our favorite feature is complimentary. Their hiking specialists have created an interactive program which helps to select the best hike based on the time or distance, elevation gain, views, and so many more variables.
Evening
When the sky is clear you will see a tapestry of stars above. Sedona is a Dark Sky city which means that lights are kept low to eliminate light pollution and allow for a full view of the night sky. Wherever you may be when the sky is dark, look up and see a beautiful display.
Each evening during turndown a meditation card will be left on your pillow. The meditations have been specifically created to encourage guests to take a moment, slow down, and relax before sleep. They help to ground and center active minds after a stimulating day.

Guests of L’Auberge de Sedona will find ease and peacefulness throughout their cottage thanks to thoughtful touches and amenities designed to nourish, nurture and center. Let us be your Sedona sanctuary for a relaxing stay on National Relaxation Day – or any other day.
