“Sedona is a great place to catch the monthly full moon, with its open skies, Red Rock energy and wellness retreats. To fully embrace the lunar love, L’Auberge de Sedona, A Destination Hotel is hosting a Mindful Moon Meditation series. The complimentary sessions take place each evening of a new moon and include a guided journey of healing.”

  • Earthing and Grounding Ritual: Prepare to soak in the energy of the Earth and moon while discussing symbols and meanings for that month’s specific full moon theme.
  • Breathing and Meditation: A guided meditation leads guests through a series of intentional breathing cycles to gather the awareness that matches the quality of the moon’s energy.
  • Sound Healing: Through gentle drums, overtone singing, nature sounds and frequencies from crystal bowls, guests find an overall silence of the mind to fully embrace peace within.
  • Write and Reflect: Complete the full moon experience through a writing practice to recognize all that you are grateful for and enter a new moon cycle with a refreshed outlook and cleared mind.

November Full Moon

The next full moon is considered the Beaver Moon and rises on Thanksgiving night.  According to many sources, the full moon in November is named for beavers as this is the time of year when they become active in constructing their winter dams in preparation for the cold season.  As the beaver is a nocturnal animal, their dams are constructed under the light of the full moon.

Yolanda Curtis, Spa Meditation and Yoga Instructor, leads this activity for L’Auberge guests and has shared her thoughts on the upcoming full moon.

“The magnifying effects of the full moon have been known and emphasized throughout history.  Here at L’Auberge, we continue that tradition with our monthly full moon meditation series for our guests.

In November the full moon occurs during the Thanksgiving holidays, so it is the perfect time to illuminate your feelings of gratitude.  Our Full Moon Meditation will be held on Friday, November 23 and will focus on the connections and feelings of gratitude you have for others in your life.”

Guests of L”Auberge de Sedona are exclusively invited to attend our complimentary daily activities which include the Monthly Full Moon Meditation, offered this month on Friday, November 23rd at 6 pm. We suggest guests dress in active attire and comfortable to move and lie down, blankets will be provided.
