With the New Year less than a week away, people are already making their lists of things they want to accomplish in 2016. Hitting the gym is one of the New Years resolutions out there with a low retention rate. Here are some tips to help you make wellness a permanent part of your life:

TIP #1: Do it for you and nobody else. Really think about why you want to get fit or lead a healthier lifestyle. Start incorporating small changes like drinking more water, making time for meditation, taking longer walks and eating more colorful food.

TIP #2: Make it fun. Instead of buying a gym membership that will only keep your attention for a little while, think about trying a variety of different classes. Sign up for Pilates, a sailing class, go kayaking with friends, or try something new like surfing or roller skating!
