The City of Sedona has great facilities for children of all ages to enjoy.
Posse Grounds Park offers several amenities to the community and is composed of 7 acres around the elementary school and the Parks and Recreation Office. Available to the public are the tennis courts, softball fields, multi-use field, sand volleyball court, basketball courts, a kid’s playground, cross-training spots, picnic ramadas, Dog Park, Skate Park, and Teen Center. Near the multi-use field is the Posse Grounds Recreation Room which is used for various recreation classes throughout the year. Conveniently located just up the street from this park is the Sedona Community Pool.
Sunset Park features two shaded play areas, including a play area for small children. Bring your lunch and sit at one of the two ramadas and enjoy the surrounding beauty. The Splash Park water features can be activated 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. seven days a week, late May through September. Also available are two tennis courts, a basketball court/pickle ball court, a 1/10 mile “Lollipop Trail” for the nature lover, which connects to the Coconino National Forest, and a large grassy field just right for playing Frisbee or soaking up the Arizona sun.
