A New Leader Joins the L’Auberge de Sedona Family

We’re excited to share some wonderful news from along the banks of Oak Creek. As L’Auberge de Sedona continues to grow and evolve, we are thrilled to welcome Kevin Pickard as our new General Manager. With more than 25 years of hospitality leadership experience, Kevin joins us at a particularly meaningful moment. Following the completion of our recently unveiled expansion, his leadership will guide L’Auberge into its next chapter—one rooted in thoughtful growth, heartfelt service, and an even deeper connection to this extraordinary place.

Kevin comes to Sedona most recently from The Lindy Renaissance Charleston in South Carolina and Atlanta Marriott Alpharetta in Georgia, where he served as Dual General Manager for two Aimbridge Hospitality–managed properties. Leading a combined team of more than 200 associates and overseeing upwards of $40 million in top-line revenue, Kevin drove measurable gains in profitability and guest satisfaction, earning him the 2023 AimbridgeWay Award for Full-Service General Manager of the Year. His career with Aimbridge began in 2020 at the Renaissance Charleston, and before that, he spent more than two decades with Marriott International in senior leadership roles across operations, food and beverage, events, and brand advocacy.

As Kevin steps into his role here, he will oversee all aspects of resort operations—from accommodations and dining to sales, marketing, and guest experience—working closely with our dedicated team to ensure every stay reflects the warmth, care, and attentiveness our guests have come to expect.

His arrival coincides with an exciting time for L’Auberge. Owned by DiamondRock Hospitality Company and managed by Aimbridge Hospitality, our resort has recently completed a $30 million expansion, introducing 70 new guest rooms in our Cliffs category and bringing the resort to a total of 158 rooms. The transformation also includes Duck Pond, a serene new poolside retreat, and a stunning event terrace designed to showcase Sedona’s iconic Red Rock views. Thoughtfully envisioned by architects Kollin Altomare and interior designers at Whitespace, these enhancements complement refreshed dining spaces, a new in-room dining program, and the evolution of L’Apothecary Spa into a full-service wellness destination complete with new water therapies, treatments, and an outdoor relaxation garden.

“I am thrilled to join L’Auberge de Sedona and work alongside the team during this next chapter for the resort,” Kevin shared. “Arizona’s Red Rock region has become one of the most compelling destinations for travelers seeking more than a traditional luxury escape. The resort’s recent transformation allows us to elevate the guest journey while preserving the service culture and sense of place that have defined L’Auberge for years.”
Originally from Peterborough, Ontario, Kevin studied hospitality and operations administration at Georgian College before earning his Bachelor of Science in hospitality and business administration from Southern New Hampshire University. Outside of the hotel world, his passions range from playing rugby to beekeeping—at one point caring for as many as 60,000 bees and producing up to 200 pounds of honey each year.

We’re honored to welcome Kevin to the L’Auberge family and look forward to what’s ahead. As always, our commitment remains the same: to create meaningful moments, genuine connections, and unforgettable experiences, set against the breathtaking beauty of Sedona. We can’t wait to welcome you back to experience it all.
