Your Guide To The Ultimate Sedona Babymoon

Sedona is a magical place in so many ways, so experiencing it as soon-to-be new parents is not to be missed. The serene landscape is a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of city life, and the relaxed atmosphere allows the happy couple to truly enjoy the miracle at hand. We have a few tips and suggestions for the ideal Sedona Babymoon so that you can plan a memorable celebration of parenthood!
L’Auberge de Sedona was featured in FitPregnancy’s “Take a Babymoon! 20 Dreamy Vacation Ideas”, and we couldn’t have been more honored. We love taking care of our parents-to-be and enjoy welcoming them to a luxurious getaway that includes the ultimate in pampering and indulging!

Indulge Your Cravings
There are numerous restaurants in Sedona, but we’ve narrowed it down to a few great options that are sure to satisfy whatever craving may strike.

89Agave serves up fresh, authentic Mexican food in a vibrant atmosphere. There are three patios to choose from so that you can enjoy the weather and the stunning Red Rock views. Start with the house-made guacamole before digging into enchiladas or street tacos. Wash it all down with a handmade virgin margarita and a sweet, indulgent dessert such as churros and ice cream.

Cress on Oak Creek is a wonderful opportunity to dine creekside beneath the Sycamores, where our renowned chef creates culinary masterpieces in a coursed experience. Taking inspiration from the surroundings and showcasing local ingredients ensure your visit is unforgettable. If you’re here on the weekend, Sunday Brunch is not to be missed. You’re sure to indulge every craving while you sit outside and enjoy the cool breeze. From the bar, comfort food is elevated in an approachable yet refined manner. If you’re in the mood for mac and cheese or a handcrafted burger amongst breathtaking surroundings, there’s no better place than L’Auberge.

Dahl & DiLuca Ristorante Italiano is a romantic, classic Italian restaurant under the culinary direction of Chef Lisa Dahl. They offer fine dining with award winning Italian specialties. Don’t miss traditional dishes like Veal Piccata sauteed in a sublime lemon caper sauce and an Eggplant Parmigiana that is out of this world. Dahl & DiLuca also features several vegetarian dishes as well as to-die-for Italian desserts (cheesecake or panna cotta, anyone?).

The Hudson Sedona is an upscale, yet casual, local neighborhood restaurant. This American eatery welcomes you daily for lunch and dinner with chef-driven food and a fun, inviting, family-like atmosphere. Chef Jeff Storcz pairs sophisticated comfort food with genuine hospitality in a relaxed urban atmosphere at an exceptional value. The menu combines the very best simple, yet hearty, dishes ranging from chopped salads to juicy burgers, and truly great fish, chicken, ribs and steak.
Sweet tooth cravings? Be sure and check out the Sedona Fudge Company – their fudge is unbelievable! Try the chocolate peanut butter and you won’t be disappointed. If ice cream is more your style, Sedona is also home to both Cold Stone Creamery and Baskin Robbins.
Take a Leisurely Hike
Sedona is known for its countless hiking trails that offer unique and breathtaking perspectives of Red Rock country. From beginner to expert trailblazer, there is something for everyone! During this time in your pregnancy, a leisurely hike may just be in order. Here are a few of our favorites:

Red Rock Loop is a narrow, easy trail that offers splendid views of the red rocks. It is part of a greater loop around Scheurman Mountain (if you link it up with the Scheurman Mountain Trail).
Soldiers Pass is a moderate trail with a back country feel, even though you’re right in the middle of town. This trail winds through several arroyos, past the “Devils Kitchen” sinkhole, along the “Seven Sacred Pools,” and then up to Brins Mesa. We would recommend that you turn around prior to climbing up the mesa to ensure safety during pregnancy.
Bell Rock is a great hike for the whole family. The loop trail takes you right up close to Bell Rock, an iconic formation that attracts quite a few visitors. You can choose to take Courthouse Loop or Big Park Loop (preferred). Enjoy incredible views of the Red Rock landscape as well as indigenous desert plants.
Bring Home a Cute Souvenir
Tlaquepaque ToyTown is a fun store that offers a wide variety of kid’s toys, puzzles, games, books and more. You’re sure to find a great piece to bring home and give your little bundle of joy when he or she arrives!
Browse the Uptown Sedona Shops that are just up the hill from L’Auberge and find your little one the perfect gift. Unique boutiques offer everything from apparel to trinkets to quintessentially-Sedona souvenirs.
How do you plan on celebrating your Babymoon? We would love to hear!
