A babymoon is a special time for the growing family to get away from it all and celebrate the new life that will be arriving before you know it. A Sedona babymoon provides an idyllic escape from city life and the perfect place to turn your focus inward as you embark on this wonderful journey.

We compiled a few things to include in your Sedona babymoon itinerary below. Most importantly, take this time to relax and truly pamper yourself and your family as you prepare for the arrival of your little one.

Capture Memorable Photos

Whether it has been the easiest pregnancy or mildly challenging at times, you will want to remember this special time with your little one, even if it’s just the comfort of always knowing he or she is warm and safe at all times. Maternity photos are a wonderful way to remember your babymoon in Sedona. It is also a great way to make sure your growing belly is in the best light and position. Jayde Pigati of JP Photography recommends maternity photos around 32 weeks. She will shoot during late afternoon so that you get that amazing warm golden glow from the sun. Jayde finds that many of her maternity clients will also have hair and make-up done to add the extra wow factor to their photos as well as giving them a chance to pamper themselves before baby comes. (#3 on our list!) And don’t worry about what to wear, Jayde has 14 dresses as well as flower crowns for you to choose from if they wanted to use them in their session. She will also make sure to include your partner to truly remember this special time.

Breathe & Stretch with a Gentle Yoga Class

Breathe, reflect, and think towards the future. The breathing that you learn in yoga class can really help when it comes down to contraction time. If the sound of your partner’s voice is like nails on a chalkboard, venture inward and summon the voice of your favorite yogi or teacher to calm and focus you. Join our Gentle Yoga Stretch classes that takes place regularly. Our resident yogis are well versed in breathing and stretching poses and will modify to your comfort and pregnancy progress.

Pamper yourself! If this is your first baby, then you have probably heard that once he or she arrives, your time will now be their time. If you are growing your brood, then you already know that the few special moments to yourself should be celebrated. Schedule a maternity massage or combine a manicure and pedicure. Feel free to tell the therapist this is your time to “just be” and that you’d prefer to be quiet. Or take the time to catch up on what the celebrities are doing these days.

Get Some Rest

Sleep! That growing baby may only be a couple pounds or less when you celebrate your babymoon, but you have done a lot to grow all those fingers, toes, brain cells, taste buds, and more. Take time to enjoy some good ole’ fashion r&r! Tell your partner to take a hike while you get in some Sedona dreams. If you are having trouble turning off your mind with all the changes that are coming, may we suggest misting yourself with Lotus Wei Quiet Mind? Quiet Mind allows you to “experience clarity, focus, relaxed body, quiet mind, sound sleep, ability to take breaks and be more effective.” It “dissolves busy mind, mental chatter, restless sleep, physical tension (especially neck & shoulders), over-analyzing.”

No matter how you choose to celebrate the upcoming arrival of your new addition, a Sedona babymoon is sure to leave you relaxed, refreshed, and ready to welcome baby!
