Plein Air Paint Out at L’Auberge
“En Plein Air”, a French term that translates to “in the open air”, describes paintings that have been created outdoors rather than in a studio. The spectacular red rock scenery and temperate climate of Sedona create the perfect location for plein air painting. Join us at L’Auberge de Sedona for a live Paint Out and witness artists from around the country interpret Sedona’s beauty through their brush strokes at the 19th Annual Plein Air Festival. Once they have found their inspiration, over 20 master artists will setup along Oak Creek and paint until noon. All the paintings will then be gathered together for voting and all will be aviallabe for sale.
A shuttle will be provided from the Sedona Arts Center to L’Auberge Resort from 8:30am-1:30pm. Awards, judging, and sale will follow the paint out at L’Auberge starting at 12:30pm. Paintings will then be on sale at the Sedona Arts Center Special Exhibition Galleries throughout the remainder of the Plein Air Festival.
