L’Auberge de Sedona has partnered with “Sedona’s Best Gallery”, Goldenstein Gallery, led by art aficionado Linda Goldenstein. Linda brings a host of talented Sedona artists for Artist in Residence events, where guests can get up close and personal with the artists and their art. She also hand-selects the art that is displayed throughout property and rotated often.
About Goldenstein Gallery
Goldenstein Gallery exhibits city-wide across Sedona, including right here at L’Auberge de Sedona. The owner, Linda Goldenstein, crowned the “Art Maven of Sedona” by Arizona Republic art critic John Villoni, has worked with celebrated established artists as well as exceptional emerging artists. Although Linda and the Gallery have worked with hundreds of artists including respected museums & community exhibitions, the award winning gallery now focuses on over 50 fine local and regional artists. Their events are highly attended by the artists they represent which creates an unparalleled ambiance.
Sedona has consistently been voted in the top 10 Small Town Art Destinations by the reader of American Style Magazine, and this year Goldenstein Gallery for the fifth year in a row was voted Best Gallery in Sedona by the readers of Kudos as well as being voted Best in Sedona by the Readers of the Sedona Red Rock News. In 2009 they also received the Mayor’s Arts Award in Sedona as a business that has heavily contributed to the growth of the arts as a living entity in Sedona and in January of 2011 they received the Pride of Arizona Award for Best Gallery.

A native of northern Arizona, Linda’s family lived on the Hualapai Indian reservation on Route 66 when she was born. They moved to the Sedona area in 1969 and she has maintained a home here ever since. Linda is the Founder and President of Goldenstein Gallery, a gallery known for it’s innovative approach and sense of community with their motto of “Life Enhancement through Art”.
Linda Goldenstein, who was first crowned the “Art Maven of Sedona” by Arizona Republic art critic John Villoni in 2001 and repeated by others in national publications, has consistently championed opportunities to create a life enhancing experience for the public. From Artist’s Receptions to the creation of Tibetan Sand Mandalas in the gallery to Artists in Residence or live music, she has provided interactive ways to involve people…bringing art, artist and collector together.
Although Linda and the gallery have worked with hundreds of artists, including respected museums & community exhibits, the gallery now focuses on 50 fine local and regional artists in all styles and mediums. A multi-award winning gallery, they have been named Best Gallery in Sedona for 9 years running by the readers of Kudos and for the past four years they have been chosen Best Gallery by Market Surveys of America. In 2009 they received the Sedona Mayor’s Arts Award as a business that has heavily contributed to the growth of the arts as a living entity in Sedona and in January of 2011 they received the Pride of Arizona Award for Best Gallery. Recently USA Today’s 10 Best named them the number 1 place to shop in Sedona and National Geographic – Sedona Verde Valley Geotourism program recognized their Annual Cowboys and Indians Show for the gallery’s support in sustaining and enhancing the unique geographic character of the region.
Linda’s gallery, celebrating 15 years, has both a large local and visitor following with collectors that span the globe. Goldenstein Gallery is known for its style and innovation and for its creative collaborations with countless organizations and performing and visual arts such as Chamber Music Sedona, Verde Valley Sinfonietta, Gardens for Humanity, Sedona International Film Festival, and many more, as well as humanitarian interests including the Verde Valley Sanctuary and the Sedona City of Peace.
Linda is a professional art curator and consultant known for her visionary exhibits. She currently has 7 exhibits Sedona citywide including an unprecedented 17-piece outdoor life size and monumental sculpture exhibit at Sedona City Hall Plaza.
Linda has partnered with L’Auberge de Sedona to bring a unique art emersion experience to guests through Large and Small Scale Paintings & Sculpture Exhibits shown throughout the property and a thriving Artists in Residence program in which guests can watch and interact with renowned artists as they paint and sculpt works in progress. In 2016, over 100 artists participated including “Plein Air Paint Outs” creek side on Oak Creek. Lind also provides “Art Tours” for guests on property and has worked with L’Auberge to build their own Fine Art Collection of paintings and sculpture displayed on property.
She is also a business partner in the local entertainment television network Sedona Now TV.
Artists in Residence
This program will give guests the opportunity to view beautiful art, but also interact with the artists while in the natural beauty of the resort along Oak Creek.
Guests are able to watch as they paint or sculpt works in progress. A wide variety of mediums and styles ranging from pointillist painting to clay and wax sculpting for bronze casting will be featured. The artists will interact, discussing their pieces and answer any questions. The artists participating include Kevin McCarthy, Sherab Khandro, Jourdan Dern, Mike Medow, Cheston Trammel, and David DeVary.
